Synopsis

A restless daughter meets a spirit-fish who gives her pure water but as her family devours the delicious water, they become suspicious about the origin of its taste.

About the Director

Shirley Bruno’s experimentation in cinema draws heavily from her Haitian heritage preserving her ancestral traditions and spirituality through radical image and storytelling. Her film Tezen debuted at the Hamburg International Short Film Festival and is currently traveling the international festival circuit. Her work is included in the national contemporary art collection of Centre National des Arts Plastiquesin France, in the permanent collection of the Leal Rios Foundation and has shown at La Galerie Municipale Vitry de Jean Collet, Palais de Tokyo, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, National Gallery London. She is a New York Foundation on the Arts Fellow and a recipient of the New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Grant.
